Kristin Nelson, CSW, is a Behavioral Health Therapist serving children, adolescents, and families through HealthFirst Bluegrass’s School-Based Clinics. She earned her Master of Social Work with a concentration in Individual and Family Clinical Practice and is dedicated to helping young people build resilience, strengthen relationships, and develop healthy coping skills.
Kristin provides therapy for children and adolescents from early childhood through age 18. She believes that every child is unique and tailors' treatment to meet everyone's strengths, needs, and goals. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and developmentally appropriate play-based interventions.
Kristin enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and relaxing at the beach.
