Services
Acute Care
Kids don’t get sick on a schedule — and when something feels off, you want answers quickly. Don’t wait or wonder — call us at (859) 288-2425. If we’re open, we’ll do our best to get your child seen the same day.
Call Us If:
- Your child is running a high fever for more than a couple of days
- You suspect an infection
- You’re concerned about a specific symptom
Well Child Visits
Annual checkups are essential to monitor your child’s growth, development, and overall health. Our pediatric team provides care from birth through age 18, helping your child stay on track every step of the way.
Vaccines
Vaccines are a safe, effective way to protect your child from preventable diseases. We’ll help you stay on schedule with recommended immunizations from birth through adolescence.
Sports Physicals
If your child is playing a sport, they may need a physical exam to ensure they’re healthy and safe to compete. We offer sports physicals at our Fayette County Public School-Based Clinics and other HealthFirst locations for your convenience.
Before your appointment, please click the link and complete the required Kentucky state athletic forms > KHSAA Forms for School Athletes.
Bring the completed forms with you to help us keep your child’s care quick and efficient.
Behavioral Health
Mental and emotional well-being are just as important as physical health — especially for children and teens. We offer therapy, counseling, and medication management for both minors and adults, all in a safe and supportive environment.
Dental
Dental health is essential to your child’s overall well-being. Good oral health supports nutrition, speech development, and self-confidence. At HealthFirst, we provide affordable, accessible dental care to help kids maintain strong, healthy teeth from an early age.

HealthFirst School-Based Clinics
Bringing Health Care to Where Students Learn and Grow
School-based health clinics (or SBCs) play a critical role in supporting the overall health and academic success of children. Located directly within schools across the Greater Lexington area, our clinics make it easier than ever for students — and in some cases, community members — to access quality care. We currently operate 10 clinics in partnership with Fayette County Public Schools and the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department.
Why School-Based Clinics Matter
School-based health centers change outcomes by breaking down barriers to care. When health care is accessible, students are:
- More likely to attend school regularly
- Better prepared to learn and succeed
- More likely to graduate
We Provide Pediatric Care, Behavioral Health, and Dental services through our SBCs.
Appointments are available to all students, and at some locations, community members like parents and teachers as well. Whether it’s a school-day checkup, a dental visit, or behavioral health support, we’re here to make care simple and accessible.
