For over 30 years, HealthFirst has filled in the gaps to give people the quality care they deserve. From the late 1980s until 2015, we were the Primary Care Center of the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department. In 2015, we became our own entity as HealthFirst Bluegrass. Currently, we have over 20,000 active patients on our roster, and we operate in 16 locations across the greater Lexington area.

Team-Based Care
As a patient-centered health home, we use an integrative team-based, culturally-appropriate approach to care. Our providers collaborate across specialties to create a plan of care for each patient. This evidence-based model is associated with greater patient and provider satisfaction, improved quality and increased preventative care.
Affordable Services
We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that accepts most major insurances, Medicaid, and Medicare. No insurance? No problem. On-going federal funding allows us to offer excellent care regardless of a patient’s health insurance status.
Lifelong Support
Our friendly staff and excellent providers are why our patients come back year after year. We build lifelong relationships with our patients, promoting better health outcomes.
Health Care Equity
Our patients include a racial minority mix of 67%, and we serve 33% of our patients in a language other than English. HealthFirst Bluegrass is inclusive, and everyone is welcome.
