HealthFirst Bluegrass is an all-in-one community health center serving greater Lexington, Kentucky.
We are a Federally-Qualified Health Center, which allows us to provide care regardless of patients’ ability to pay.
Our Mission: Healthcare for All
We provide excellent care for all. Even if you can’t pay, don’t have health insurance or have trouble accessing care. We exist to transform the quality of life for members of our community by enhancing access to health care and improving health outcomes. We make our patients feel comfortable, welcomed, dignified and empowered. We provide care grounded in evidence-based practices and delivered with empathy and respect. We have a culture of inclusion and innovation. That makes us an outstanding place to receive care and to work.
For over 30 years, Health First has filled in the gaps to give people the quality care they deserve. From the late 1980s until 2015, we were the Primary Care Center of the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department. In 2015, we became our own entity as HealthFirst Bluegrass. Currently, we have over 20,000 active patients on our roster, and we operate in 16 locations across the greater Lexington area.
