My name is Alysha Greenwell and I am a family nurse practitioner in the school-based clinics. I spent my nursing career at UK hospital, primarily in the children’s hospital, for nearly 10 years. Once I graduated from UK with my doctorate and became a nurse practitioner, I worked in family medicine at another health center for almost 2 years before joining the HealthFirst Bluegrass team.
When I’m not at work, I am spending time with my husband and two boys. We enjoy being outdoors, attending sporting events, or crafting. We like to go camping and hiking when we can. I also enjoy reading and my book club. I have a passion for family-centered care and providing healthcare to those who otherwise would not have access to it. I am very easy-going and love to get to know my patients on a personal level.
